Why was the Trust Wallet DApp Browser Removed?

The DApp Browser was removed for iOS users (not Android) by Trust wallet in June 2020 to comply with the new Apple app store guidelines. All apps on Apple’s iOS must conform to a certain set of guidelines to be able to be listed in the App Store.

Unfortunately, DApps, are deemed as “code not embedded in the (app) binary” and therefore need to meet the criteria to be allowed in an iOS app.

Although the Trust Wallet team tried to resolve this issue, they had to remove the feature from future app releases. Many users (including Every Bit Helps) found a solution by adding the Dapp Browser back to the Trust wallet App. However, this hack is no longer possible following Apple’s latest update.

Now, for iOS users to be able to connect Trust Wallet to PancakeSwap and other DApps, you’ll need to use the WalletConnect feature.
